NYFB/NFIB leaders and businesses met with
legislators in Binghamton to discuss business issues.

(left to right) Assemblyman Robert Warner, Faye
Anderson (Anderson Consulting Group) Mark Alesse (NFIB Director) Bradd
Vickers (President Chenango County Farm Bureau/NFIB NY Leaderhip Council
and Businessman) and Assemblyman Clifford Crouch.
New York Farm Bureau (NYFB) and National Federation of Independent
Business (NFIB) leaders met with legislators in Binghamton to discuss
issues of importance to business owners in NY State.
Vickers noted, the two organizations have a lot in common; by
networking together, we have more clout in Albany.
Small Business owners and Farmers know that our state is confronting
huge challenges and legislators will be making decisions with long-term
impacts on their lives and their businesses.
We should capitalize on the leadership of Senator Bruno and make Tort
Reform a reality in New York, said Mark Alesse (NFIB State Director).
The legislators fielded questions from the various business sectors.
You could sense the frustration and concerns from those attending
with the current economy and proposed budget.
Faye Anderson addressed the Sole Proprietor insurance issue, and the
detrimental effects in increased cost the recently enacted law has had
for business owners.
New York clearly faces a crossroads. It is more important than
ever for small business to oppose misguided and outdated tax-and-spend
policies of the past. Depending upon whether government meets the
challenges head-on and changes what we've done wrong in the past, or
continues with business-as-usual will have serious implications for the
small business community.
NFIB/NYFB will be holding more of these joint meetings
across New York State.
